This is a 5-day training package that is aimed at building the knowledge and skills of staff at all levels in a targeted intervention project for injecting drug users. It includes sessions on Harm Reduction, the Needle-Syringe Exchange Programme (NSEP), Abscess Prevention and Management and such like. It is accompanied by a supplementary manual that is a participant ‘take-away’.
Apart from a motivational animation film, the facilitator’s manual is supported by situation cards and posters for display and training. A handbook has also been developed that summarizes the core content of the training package. |
